If you want to compete in culinary skills with your elderly relatives, use the advice of the expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", chef Yulia Arkhipova, who shared a recipe for an incredibly delicious rice milk porridge.

Ingredients required
To prepare porridge you will need the following products:
- 1 cup rice (round grain),
- 1 glass of water,
- 4 glasses of milk (ideally homemade),
- 1/4 teaspoon salt,
- 2 teaspoons of sugar,
- 1 teaspoon butter.
Cooking process
As already mentioned, to create the perfect porridge, it is recommended to use round-grain rice - thanks to it, the dish will be tender and more rich. There is no need to rinse the grain - we need its natural stickiness.
You will need a large saucepan, which you need to fill with milk and water.
As soon as the contents of the pan boil, add the rice.
Be sure to stir thoroughly to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pan. It is best to use a wooden or silicone spoon for this.
When the rice boils, reduce the heat to low, add salt and sugar.
Cover the pan with a lid and leave the porridge to simmer for 15-20 minutes. Make sure it barely simmers and stir the porridge from time to time.
After the specified time, the porridge will thicken and the rice will become soft. At this stage, you can add butter.
Stir and cover with a lid, leaving the porridge for 5-7 minutes so that the rice absorbs the oil and acquires a creamy taste.
In summer, you can add fresh berries to the porridge, and in winter, raisins or other dried fruits, which will give the porridge additional aroma and sweetness.
