Yeast dough is the basis for many delicious dishes, such as pies, pasties, belyashi and pizza.
Since many housewives face difficulties when working with this dough, an expert from the online publication BelNovosti shared a recipe that will allow you to cope with the task without problems.
To knead the dough, you will need the following products:
- Flour – 500-600 g,
- Milk – 150 ml,
- Water – 150 ml,
- Dry yeast – 8 g (you can use “live” yeast, then you will need 25 g),
- Salt - 1.5 teaspoons,
- Sugar – 1 teaspoon (can be increased if desired),
- Vegetable oil – 50 ml,
- Starch – 1 teaspoon.
Milk is heated and mixed with water, after which salt, sugar and yeast are dissolved in this mixture, and only then vegetable oil.
Gradually add flour and knead the dough.
It is important not to overdo it with this component: some cooks add flour until the dough stops sticking to their hands, and thus make a mistake: the dough should be sticky.
It needs to be kneaded until smooth and left in a warm place for 15-20 minutes.
After the specified time, the dough should rise, which means you can start shaping the pastry.
