How to fry meat so that it turns out soft and not like a sole: an additive that many forget and some do not know

When a hostess wants to please her loved ones with delicious fried meat for dinner, she strives to make this dish tender and juicy.

To do this, you need to marinate the meat properly. If there is no time for traditional marinating, the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, chef Yulia Arkhipova, advises using a simple and effective method that will allow you to achieve the ideal texture of meat in just 40 minutes.

Why is the marinating process so important?

Thanks to the marinade, which usually includes acidic ingredients - lemon juice, vinegar, kiwi, etc. - the meat fibers are softened and it is soaked with aromas.

How to quickly cook tender meat

If you want to do without long marinating, first prepare the necessary ingredients. For half a kilogram of meat you will need:

  • Onions – 2 pcs.,
  • Salt - to taste,
  • Spices (black pepper, paprika, thyme) - to taste,
  • Baking soda – 1/3 teaspoon,
  • Vegetable oil – 50 g.

Peel the onion and cut it into half rings. Fry it in a frying pan with heated oil until golden brown.

When you notice the onion starting to brown, add baking soda to the pan to help soften it.

Now put the meat, cut into pieces, into the pan, add salt and spices, then stir the contents of the pan and continue cooking over medium heat for 20-40 minutes. The exact cooking time depends on the type of meat you use.

To ensure the meat browns evenly, turn it over periodically, and pour the onion sauce from the pan over it before serving.
