Perhaps many people know that buckwheat porridge is one of the healthiest dishes for the human body.

However, alas, often during the cooking process the level of usefulness is significantly reduced, since the cooking is not done entirely correctly.

Yulia Arkhipova , an expert of the online publication BelNovosti and a chef, spoke about how to cook buckwheat so that it retains the maximum amount of nutritional value.

According to her, to achieve this goal, you can resort to steaming, soaking or boiling.

If we steam the cereal, we get a minimally processed product. This means we preserve all the useful substances that are in buckwheat.

It is enough to pour boiling water over the buckwheat, leave it overnight, and in the morning you can have a tasty and, most importantly, healthy breakfast.

Soaking – rinse the buckwheat, put it in a saucepan, fill it with cold water (proportion – 1 to 1).

After a few hours, the buckwheat will swell – add a little more water and let it cook for a few minutes.

If we boil it, then after boiling, we cook it for no more than 20 minutes. But 5-10 minutes is better.

Then turn off the heat, cover the porridge with a lid, wrap it in a towel and leave it like this for a couple of hours.

For reference

Buckwheat porridge is a porridge made from buckwheat grain, a popular dish in Russian, Belarusian, Ukrainian, Lithuanian and Polish cuisines.
