Since various types of pasta are used to make hearty soups and tasty side dishes, housewives buy the product quite often.
However, many people make a serious mistake: after the pasta is boiled, the water is simply poured into the sink.
Chef Yulia Arkhipova, an expert in culinary issues for the online publication BelNovosti, spoke about why this should not be done.
What is the real value of the water left over from cooking pasta?
In most cases, pasta is not only boiled, but also mixed with various sauces. Thanks to this, the dish becomes more filling and tasty.
Additional liquid will be needed as you work on the sauce.
It is best to use the water in which the pasta itself was cooked for this purpose. It will not only help improve the taste of the sauce, but also make it thicker due to the starch included in its composition.
So stop throwing away such a valuable ingredient. Water can also be used in the process of caring for indoor plants, but in this case, cooking should be done without salt.
