Cherry dessert jam-jelly: uneaten preparation – how to cook step by step

Many housewives can't wait for the cherries to ripen so they can stock up on delicious preserves made from this berry.

The jam-jelly, the recipe of which was shared by the expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", chef Yulia Arkhipova , is not cloying. The taste of berries is clearly felt in it, and after the meal there is a pleasant aftertaste.

In addition to everything, the cooking process is not at all troublesome. You should start with preparing the necessary ingredients. Of course, you will need cherries. For a kilogram of berries, other products will also come in handy:

  • 700 g sugar;
  • 100 ml boiled water;
  • 25 g gelatin.

Sort and wash the cherries, then remove the pits and place in a deep bowl. The berries should be covered with sugar and left for 5-8 hours.

After this, gently stir the cherries or simply shake the bowl if there are not a lot of berries.

Dissolve gelatin in cold boiled water. Place the container with cherries on the fire and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to minimum, cook for about 10 minutes, regularly removing the foam that appears on the surface.

At the end of cooking, add gelatin dissolved in water and stir.

Place the finished jam-jelly into clean sterilized jars and close with screw caps (you can roll them up). Turn the jars over, wrap them up and leave until completely cool. This preparation should be stored in the refrigerator or cellar.
