We are unlikely to be wrong if we say that every housewife would like the cutlets she prepares to be juicy, tender and tasty.
But this is not always the case – sometimes dishes made from minced meat are so dry and tough that they taste like a shoe sole, notes Yulia Arkhipova, an expert at the online publication BelNovosti, with bitterness.
You shouldn't blame the mince for this - the reason should be sought in the mistakes you made yourself.
To prevent your cutlets from turning out tough, follow these simple rules.
To make the cutlets juicy and fluffy, add an important ingredient to the minced meat – grated boiled potatoes.
If you don't have time to boil potato tubers, you can use raw potatoes. This will make the cutlets tender and juicy and will preserve all the juices.
In addition, you should thoroughly knead the mince for several minutes so that all the ingredients are evenly mixed. Do not rush - good kneading is important for the result.
Finally, choose the appropriate method of cooking cutlets - in a frying pan, in the oven, in a steamer. But the microwave oven is not the best option - it can heat unevenly, which is why the cutlets will be dry.
