If you accidentally oversalted your pilaf, don’t despair and throw the dish away.
The point is that the situation can be corrected in order to serve a tasty and aromatic treat to the table.
But how exactly do you remove salt from rice?
Here, simple advice from experienced cooks will come to the rescue, who recommend putting gauze or a portioned bag of rice in a hot dish. After half an hour, you can remove it, since all the excess salt will be absorbed into it.
But this will also remove moisture, so it is recommended to add a little broth or boiling water so that the treat is not too dry.
There is another solution to the problem, but it involves the use of dried fruits.
Prunes, raisins or dried apricots should be soaked beforehand and then added to the pilaf. As a result, the dinner will be less salty, but will acquire a more interesting taste and aroma.
You can also use raw potatoes. Just take one or two fruits and boil them in rice for about 5-15 minutes.
