If you want something sweet, you don’t have to go to the nearest supermarket for some goodies: you can make the dessert yourself, because the homemade version of the treat is much tastier than what you can find on the store shelves.
Today we suggest you make homemade truffles. Here's what you'll need:
- 200 g dark chocolate (cocoa bean content – not less than 80%);
- 1 cup heavy cream;
- 30 g butter;
- cocoa and powdered sugar.
Crush the chocolate bars into pieces and place them in a bowl.
Add the cream here and place the container with all the contents in a water bath. Stir occasionally and melt the chocolate.
When the mixture becomes smooth and glossy, add butter to the bowl with the chocolate-cream mixture.
At this stage, you can add a little cognac to the mixture - this ingredient is optional.
All that remains is to mix everything thoroughly, wait until the mass cools down, and form small candies from it.
Mix cocoa with powdered sugar and roll our candies in the resulting “powder”, then put them in the refrigerator for at least 12 hours.
