For some reason, it is believed that oatmeal can only be used as a basis for porridge.
Instead of the porridge that many people are tired of, we suggest making fried oatmeal with egg and cheese.
To do this you will need:
- 115 g quick-cooking oatmeal;
- 1 egg;
- 35 g hard cheese;
- 2 sprigs of dill;
- salt and ground black pepper (to taste).
Break an egg into a plate, add salt and pepper, and then beat it lightly.
Pour the flakes into a dry frying pan (necessarily with a non-stick coating) and fry them over low heat until they turn golden and begin to emit a characteristic nutty smell - this will take about 7 minutes.
Now you can pour in the egg, quickly stir the contents of the pan and cover it with a lid.
After that, you can start grating the cheese. Sprinkle the fried oatmeal with egg with grated cheese and put the lid back in place.
Continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes on low heat, then turn off the stove and sprinkle the dish with finely chopped dill.
Transfer the fried oatmeal with egg and cheese to a plate and serve.
