Many cooks like fish broth. This dish is quick and easy to prepare, as well as nutritious.
However, questions often arise regarding the taste of the decoction.
Often the taste of fish broth is not bright enough.
It is quite possible to prevent this problem. To do this, it is enough to use additional ingredients.
What to throw in the pot
The container where the broth will be prepared should contain not only fish pieces. It is desirable that the following ingredients are also in the pan:
- chopped carrots;
- whole onion;
- parsley.
Also, don't forget about spices. For example, bay leaves and peppercorns.
All ingredients need to be poured with water. After that, you can turn on the burner. You should not add anything to the already hot liquid (except for salt).
How to cook fish broth correctly
You need to wait until the water in the pan boils. As soon as this happens, the heat should be reduced to minimum. It is also advisable to remove the foam.
Cooking time should be about half an hour. A couple of minutes before removing the pan from the stove, add salt.
The prepared broth should be passed through a filter surface: there is no need to consume either boiled fish or heat-treated vegetables. It is advisable to bring the strained broth to a boil again.
