An unexpected reason for children's whims has been named: parents themselves are to blame

American scientists discovered during an experiment that the reason for children's whims is not only spoiledness or a bad character.

There are many reasons for a child to throw a tantrum. But parents have all the necessary tools to influence their behavior.

Researchers at Pennsylvania State University have concluded that children's whims are determined by their daily routine, or more precisely, the time they go to bed.

According to research published in the Journal of Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics, children should go to bed at the same time every day.

To conduct the experiment, scientists recruited a group of 143 children whose parents complained about their children's irregular sleep and high impulsivity.

The subjects had to wear special devices that recorded the time they went to bed, the quality of their sleep, and the time they woke up.

What was found out?

Children whose parents put them to bed at the same time every day are less likely to be capricious.

Scientists came to these conclusions by observing how children cope with stressful situations.

According to observations, stable sleep helped control emotions. A shift in the schedule by 20 minutes turned out to be insignificant.

But if the children went to bed with a difference of two hours, they were more likely to have hysterics and were more likely to be rude to their parents.
