Why you can't take children's toys without asking: parents too

Experts are convinced that even parents should not touch a child’s toys without permission.

Children should be aware that they have personal belongings. This includes not only toys, but also other “property”: textbooks, electronics, clothing, etc.

Social networks, documents and passwords can also be included in this category.

If someone tries to take them without permission, it is considered a violation of personal boundaries.

Therefore, the task of any parent is, firstly, to observe this rule, and secondly, to explain to their son or daughter that they can share their things, but only voluntarily.

You can take a thing only after the permission of its owner. The owner can also answer the request with "no", and this is normal - after refusing, the child does not become a bad person.

Even if a child has 25 toys or sweaters, this does not mean that he should give them to other children.

A similar rule applies to other people. The guidelines are actually the simplest and sound like this: "I don't get close unless necessary, I don't take what's not mine, I don't humiliate or make another person feel guilty, I don't criticize appearance or intelligence."
