Many mothers and fathers are familiar with the problem when the baby seems to have fallen asleep, he has already been transferred to the crib, he is sleeping - and after a few minutes a desperate cry is heard.
Let's figure out where the roots of this behavior come from.
Why does a child wake up after being put to bed?
This probably happens most often because the baby is placed in his crib before the deep sleep phase has begun.
You can recognize that it has arrived and you have been given the “green light” by the following signs: the child’s breathing has become even and calm, the pupils under the closed eyelids do not move, and the limbs have become limp.
If you put the baby to bed before this moment, any external stimulus, be it sound, light, etc., will wake the baby up.
What to do to make your child wake up less often
1. During the day, try to provide skin-to-skin contact as much as possible, as this has a calming effect on children and helps them sleep more soundly and longer.
2. When your baby is sleeping, ensure darkness and silence. If the noise is coming from behind the wall and there is no way to influence it, try turning on white noise.
3. Create a bedtime ritual – repeat the same actions for 10-15 minutes before going to bed – be it a massage, reading, bathing, etc.
4. Forget about active games 30-40 minutes before going to bed.
