Many children like to sleep. And they really don't like getting up to an alarm clock.
In the morning, such babies do not want to leave their bed for a long time, ignoring the demands of their parents. In such a situation, there is a high risk that the child will fall asleep again.
It's good if you don't have to rush anywhere. But what if the child has to go to school or kindergarten?
There is one simple trick that will make your child get out of bed.
The gist of the trick
Don't scold your child, don't remind him of the need to get ready for school, and don't threaten him with consequences for being late.
Instead, tell your sleepy baby, "Just do one thing: brush your teeth. Then you can go back to bed."
The child can be asked to perform some other action. For example, have breakfast or pack a backpack.
The main thing is to give the baby permission to return to bed "later". The most interesting thing is that a completely awake child most likely will not want to do this.
It is advisable to use this trick at the end of the holidays, when the student needs to start restoring his sleep pattern.
However, this approach will most likely be effective even if the child needs to go to school or kindergarten.
There is an important point: if the child still returns to bed and falls asleep again after the action is completed (brushing teeth, breakfast, etc.), then the baby sleeps too little. He probably goes to bed late. This needs to be corrected.
