A child's crying is a real stress for the child's mother and father.

Parents who worry about their children often make serious mistakes.

Some start to show excessive care. Others try to ignore the baby until he stops crying. Both approaches are wrong.

So, what should parents not do when their children start crying?

Saying a "dangerous" phrase

As soon as a baby starts crying, many parents feel the urge to say the following: “Stop crying right now!”

But this phrase is dangerous. After all, the child is already under stress. And the anger of mom and dad and the appearance of a demanding tone in them can provoke even greater worries and a sense of guilt in the child.

Rush to the child immediately

There is no need to immediately try to hug a crying baby, stroke his head and do everything to calm the child.

This behavior of parents will be perceived by the child incorrectly. Next time the tantrum will be thrown by the child intentionally.

Turn your back to the baby

Pointedly ignoring a crying child is another extreme that should not be resorted to.

Otherwise, the child will decide that mom and dad don’t love him.

Has your child started crying? Slowly approach him. Calmly find out the reason for the tears. Act confidently: without sudden movements, shouting and psychological pressure. Show that you are ready to support the child, but without indulging his whims.
