Children often show stubbornness, refusing to fulfill this or that request of their parents.
And the problem is not only that some boys and girls do not want to help mom and dad.
Sometimes children, showing obstinacy, harm themselves. For example, when they refuse to wear a hat during the cold season.
However, there is a psychological trick that will help a child stop being stubborn and unyielding.
What trick should parents use?
Don't ask your child whether he will do this or that action.
Present the child with a fact right away: he will have to act. But at the same time, give him the opportunity to choose.
Let's imagine a situation: the child previously refused to wear a hat. This time, do not convince or persuade him. Just ask this question: "Which hat will you wear - a blue one or a black one?"
Does your student often postpone doing homework "until later"? Don't tell him: "Do your homework!"
It would be better to say this: “Where will you start - with mathematics or with history?”
Your toddler won't eat healthy food? Ask the following question: "Would you like vegetables or porridge?"
In most cases, this simple psychological trick works: instead of being stubborn, the child makes a choice.
