Tantrum in a toy store: why you shouldn't buy anything for a crying child

A child who notices a beautiful toy in a store will probably ask his parents to buy him this thing.

But it is far from certain that mom and dad will agree. The reasons may be different. For example, the very high cost of the doll or car.

But it is also possible that the child demands that you buy him toys almost every day, and then forgets about them.

Parents' refusal can upset the child. Wanting to force mom and dad to fork out for another teddy bear, a son or daughter can throw a tantrum right in the store.

And some parents give in to such pressure. And who wants a child to cry and roll on the floor in full view of everyone?

"We'll buy you a toy. Just calm down!" - say moms and dads. And they make a big mistake.

Why You Shouldn't Please a Crying Child

If a baby cries and then immediately gets what he or she wants, a dangerous chain of logic may form in the son or daughter's head.

The child will come to the conclusion that tears and tantrums are a surefire way to force parents to make a purchase or perform some other action.

It turns out to be a kind of blackmail: “Either you buy me this toy, or I will continue to cry and scream.”

You don't want your little one to use this psychological trick all the time and continue to do so into adolescence and even adulthood? Then don't buy anything until your son or daughter calms down.

The child must understand that hysteria is a dangerous manipulation that harms not only the parents, but also himself.
