When communicating with a child, parents often say harsh and completely unnecessary phrases that can negatively affect the child’s psyche.
Some words can upset the boy too much and cause him to develop complexes.
This is why moms and dads should carefully choose their phrases when talking to their son.
If parents want their child to grow up to be a confident and successful person, they should not say the following words:
"You have a responsibility to protect your mother."
The son must understand for himself that he needs to come to his mother’s aid if such a need arises.
There is no point in constantly repeating to the boy that he has such a “responsibility”.
It is possible that the child will take this too seriously, and then begin to worry that he cannot always help his mother in everything.
"You're just like your father."
A mother should never show her son that she does not like some of the “fatherly” traits in the child.
The child may come to the conclusion that the mother in some sense "does not accept" him as he is. This will not lead to anything good.
"Stop crying!"
Boys also have the right to show emotions, especially if something exciting has happened.
Banning your son from "tears" is not the best solution. The child will start to keep his feelings to himself. He may become secretive and silent.
"You can't do anything"
There is no need to call the boy "clumsy". Especially if he was unable to perform some complex action.
It is desirable for the child to understand: making mistakes is normal, everything can be learned, and many things can be corrected.
If you tell your son that he can’t do anything, the baby will stop being active and curious.
"You'll get hurt!"
Of course, if a child clearly does not think about safety while playing on the playground, he needs to be stopped immediately.
But if the action is harmless and unlikely to cause injury, there is no need to scare your son. Otherwise, the baby will be afraid of everything.
