Since childhood, many are taught to eat soup once a day. Supposedly, digestion and the health of the gastrointestinal tract depend on it.

But if you ask a specialist for a comment, it turns out that nothing terrible will happen to a person if they refuse soup.

In fact, completely giving up soups does not harm a person’s health, nutritionist Sofia Kovanova told NEWS.ru.

Of all the expressed consequences, the nutritionist only talks about weight loss.

But there is no need to expect any negative consequences that are commonly talked about in society.

The fact is that first courses are considered to be quite high-calorie food.

Especially if you cook the soup in fatty broth and use fatty meat.

The addition of potatoes, which are present in almost every recipe, makes the soup even heavier in terms of calories.

And if we take borscht or cabbage soup as an example, then their presence in the daily diet does not allow it to be called healthy, the nutritionist is convinced.
