Did you know that healthy persimmon can be dangerous if it is consumed in combination with the wrong product?
This is because this fruit contains tannins, or tannins, in large quantities.
The more unripe the fruit, the harder and more “astringent” it is, and therefore the more dangerous its consumption is, especially in combination with a number of other products.
Persimmon and cold foods
Do not drink cold drinks with persimmons or eat them with cold dishes.
Tannins make such food heavy, and the cold causes stomach spasms, as a result of which the digestion process becomes much more difficult.
After such a meal, you are guaranteed to feel heaviness in the stomach, and some people even have to deal with nausea.
Persimmon and protein foods
Protein products, especially milk, are not friends with persimmon.
All the same tannins form strong chemical bonds with proteins and polysaccharides.
In the gastrointestinal tract, the persimmon pulp binds with proteins, which leads to the formation of phytobezoars - polymeric compounds in the form of dense lumps.
If they grow large enough to block the intestinal lumen, surgery may be required.
