Some people refuse to drink water during exercise.
I really want to believe that they were pushed to do this by anyone but their coach, because a true professional simply cannot allow this to happen.
Everyone knows that a lack of water can cause dehydration, which negatively affects the functioning of muscles and the body as a whole.
And if you still don’t know how to drink during physical activity, this short cheat sheet is for you.
General recommendations for drinking water during exercise
1. 2 hours before the start of the workout, you should drink 500-550 ml of water.
2. During training you need to drink 200-300 ml of water every 10-20 minutes.
3. For every 0.5 kg lost during training, you need to drink 450-650 ml of water.
To put it even more simply, before training you need to drain a half-liter bottle, during training drink a glass of water every 15 minutes, and after training - as much as you have lost weight.
If you find it inconvenient to take water with you, for example, if you are going for a run in the park, then at least drink before and after the run.
But if you work out on exercise machines or in a gym, there can be no exceptions: water should become your constant companion in the world of sports.
