A person can solve a number of health problems through proper nutrition. But when choosing food products, it is important to understand that not all of them are equally useful.

For example, for people with hypertension, there is a list of foods that can increase blood pressure and worsen the condition.

Fermented products

Fermented milk products, sauerkraut, kombucha, kimchi and many other fermented foods are certainly beneficial for digestion.

It increases the beneficial microbiome and helps the organ better absorb substances from food. But hypertensive patients should not rush to consume it.

The thing is that salt is often involved in the fermentation process in large quantities. One serving of sauerkraut or kimchi contains almost 2 g of salt. It is known to retain water and negatively affects the quality of blood vessels.

Store bought broths

Broth is a healthy soup base that is prepared at home using vegetables, fish or meat. But some people prefer to cook broth using a concentrated cube, which contains preservatives, dyes and a large amount of salt.

This product, despite its convenience, is not useful for people with unstable blood pressure.

Salt does not help stabilize its indicators. Also, people with hypertension are not recommended to eat ready-made canned soups, as they contain synthetic preservatives.

Olive

A tasty snack used in the preparation of pates and salads. Olives are certainly a healthy product, but the process of pickling and preserving saturates them with salt.

Table salt attracts water, thereby significantly overstraining the heart, which becomes a trigger for increased blood pressure. And pressure surges on a regular basis lead to the development of heart disease and attacks.

Coconut oil

This type of product can be fully called a superfood. It is rich in fatty acids, antioxidants, minerals and vitamins. But doctors advise hypertensive patients to refrain from using it.

In the case of unstable blood pressure, healthy fats can increase cholesterol levels, which can cause plaque formation on the walls of blood vessels.

This issue is being studied by scientists, but it has already been proven that coconut oil is not recommended in the diet of people who have problems with the endocrine system and regular inflammation.

Fruit juice

Glucose and sucrose are substances that, when consumed regularly, can cause weight gain, which in the future can lead to inflammation and other pathologies throughout the body. Homemade juices are healthy, but not for people with hypertension.

Excess weight will worsen their condition, blood vessels and heart may not withstand the additional load. Hypertensive patients can eat one fruit a day, replacing a glass of juice with it. Ready-made packaged juice should be completely abandoned.

The diet of people with hypertension should be well-founded, carefully considered and consist only of permitted foods.
