Waking up at night is irritating to a person, and it’s no wonder – it’s unlikely that you’ll get enough sleep in such a situation, which is why the whole next day will pass in a fog.
Let's figure out what can cause such sleep disorders. The list, frankly speaking, turned out to be impressive.
1. One of the reasons is stress and anxiety, which cause an increase in the level of cortisol in the body, which is responsible for sleep disturbance.
2. Uncomfortable sleeping conditions also interfere with sleep – an uncomfortable mattress, a bad pillow or an unsuitable bed size.
3. Noise from the street, neighbors, or home devices, although they may seem insignificant at first, can also interfere with sleep.
4. Another obstacle to normal sleep is bright light inside or from street lights.
5. When you are plunging into the arms of Morpheus, make sure that the room temperature is comfortable - when we are too hot or too cold, it will be difficult to fall asleep.
6. If you go to bed and wake up at different times every day, don't be surprised that your body's circadian rhythm is out of whack, which is also the cause of sudden awakenings.
7. Often you can’t get a good night’s sleep because of physical health problems – pain, heartburn, etc.
8. Another medical factor that affects the quality of your sleep is an increased need to urinate at night (nocturnal incontinence).
9. Finally, it is worth watching what you eat and drink: alcohol, caffeine or heavy foods disrupt the natural phases of sleep.
Earlier we talked about which cold water is better to drink: boiled or tap water.
