What Fruits Are the Healthiest: There Are No Apples or Bananas on This List

Most people are sure that any fruit is very healthy. But in reality, not everything is so clear.

This article provides a list of the healthiest fruits, but there are no apples, bananas or pears among them.

The fact is that many fruits contain a large amount of sugar, which has an adverse effect on our body.

Bananas, apples and pears are very sweet (even sour apples contain a lot of sugar), so they cause a sharp increase in blood sugar levels.

They can be consumed in small quantities and, preferably, in the first half of the day, so that glucose is converted into energy and a person can spend it. Fructose is not processed by our body at all, so a large amount of it puts a heavy load on the liver, which is already suffering in modern people.

So which fruits are the healthiest?

Lemon

This is the least sweet option, so it can be consumed on a regular basis. Thanks to citric acid, it increases the acidity of gastric juice, which promotes better digestion. This function is especially useful for people who have low acidity and problems with digestion. But the most interesting thing is that lemon helps maintain an alkaline environment in the intestines, thereby suppressing the development of harmful microflora.

The best way to regularly consume lemon is to drink water with its juice. Additionally, it is an excellent source of vitamins C and K, as well as potassium.

Grapefruit

Another fruit whose effect is similar to lemon. It is also rich in vitamins C and K, contains a minimum of glucose and fructose. But, unlike its yellow brother, grapefruit is not so sour and can be eaten just like that. Grapefruit has virtually no contraindications, so it is often used in therapeutic nutrition.

Pomegranate

The whole pomegranate is useful, including the peel and seeds. The seeds contain a substance that can restore damaged vessel walls. Therefore, they should not be thrown away. If you cannot swallow them, then just chew them thoroughly and spit them out. Some of the useful substances will get into the stomach with saliva.

The juicy part of the pomegranate is rich in minerals (mainly potassium, phosphorus, calcium and magnesium).

It is worth mentioning here that iron, for which this fruit is so valued, is found in large quantities in the peel. It is also believed that an infusion of dried pomegranate peel is an anthelmintic.

Of course, these are not all the fruits that bring the maximum benefit to the body and contain the least amount of sugar. Just remember when choosing fruits: the more sugar they contain, the less of them you need to consume.
