The fact is that doctors studied the effect of daytime sleep on human health. The experiment lasted several years, and data from 20 thousand men and women were analyzed.
It turned out that long daytime sleep almost doubles the risk of developing heart problems.
Experts said that daytime sleep should be short. They were also able to establish that the optimal time for a siesta is from 15 to 30 minutes. In this case, there are no problems with blood pressure, and stress levels are reduced.
Also, don't expect that daytime sleep will compensate for lack of sleep at night.
