The so-called imitation caviar is not much inferior in appearance to the natural one. At the same time, it is noticeably cheaper, but cannot replace the original.
Is it possible to eat such products, even if the imitation caviar tastes like natural red caviar?
Gastroenterologist and nutritionist Alexandra Noev told Lenta.ru whether artificial caviar can be called healthy.
According to the nutritionist, it is impossible to call an artificial product completely healthy.
This type of caviar does not contain any protein or fatty acids, which are found in natural seafood.
But this is not a synthetic material, but a product made from natural algae.
This means that imitation caviar contains iodine and bromine.
Depending on the manufacturer, the product may contain fish oil, vitamins A and D, guar gum.
In general, artificial caviar will not cause harm to health if you do not abuse it.
And you also need to remember that such an artificial product contains a large amount of carbohydrates.
For reference
Artificial caviar , imitation caviar, protein caviar granular - this is a surrogate product similar in taste and appearance to natural fish caviar (salmon and sturgeon). To taste - these are elastic balls of gelatin (collagen) with fish and a taste of margarine.
