In the US, a woman came up with a sardine diet to combat excess weight. For three months, she ate four cans of fish every day and consumed MCT oil, and her daily diet did not exceed 1,500 calories.

She managed to lose 13 kilograms, but experts are critical of the woman's choice.

The sardine diet was developed by Dr. Bose from Florida, reports the Daily Mail .

Result of the diet

According to the developer of the fish diet, she managed to lose 13 kg in 90 days.

She ate four cans of sardines a day and drank four tablespoons of MCT oil, a lab-created product made from palm and coconut kernels.

The woman claims that she managed not only to lose weight, but also to improve her metabolism, get rid of leg pain, and also reduce her blood sugar levels.

She took the necessary measurements daily and, after finishing the diet, decided to continue her observations.

What the experts say

The sardine diet was assessed by Dr. Masarat Jilani, the same publication reports.

The specialist first of all called losing weight on sardines a mono-diet, which, according to her, can cause a lack of a number of useful substances in the body.

In addition, she reminded about the amount of salt and oil that canned fish contain, which can cause an increase in blood pressure and also put a strain on the kidneys.

The doctor is also concerned about the content of heavy metals in fish, namely mercury.

Moreover, the author of the diet had his last meal at 15:00.

Despite the fact that one can of sardines contains about 230 calories and a lot of useful substances, there is no scientific data confirming the effectiveness of the chosen diet.
