Excess weight is a serious problem, and therefore many people decide to take desperate measures just to get rid of extra pounds.
But the diet does not always end successfully. For various reasons, those losing weight break off their diets.
Doctor Margarita Petukhova explained why this happens in an interview with the TV channel “ Saratov 24 ”.
For people with excess weight, diets with drastic restrictions are not needed, which are stressful for the body. Those who lose weight on such diets, as a rule, often break down, and the body, fearing another "hunger strike", begins to accumulate fat again for future use. The weight not only returns, but increases even more, - the doctor explained.
In addition, you need to choose the right diet and give up a number of habits.
It is important to lead a healthy lifestyle, move more, give up unhealthy food, and at the same time the doctor encourages healthy eating.
That is, you need to eat “at the table, without a TV or smartphone.”
It is also important to gradually reduce portion sizes, eat slowly and eliminate alcohol.
The diet should contain 400 grams of vegetables and fruits (except potatoes).
You can’t add salt to your food, and you also need to avoid foods that increase your appetite – ketchup and mayonnaise, sweet soda, candy, cookies and cakes.
There should be three meals a day, and the last one should be no later than seven o'clock in the evening.
All this time, you need to monitor not only the readings on the scale, but also your well-being.
