Many overweight people blame their lack of a waist on a slow metabolism. Let's figure out why metabolism has nothing to do with the fat deposited on the sides.
According to the findings of scientists, to which fitness trainer Elena Turiy refers, from 20 to 60 years old, the metabolic rate practically does not change - this statement applies to both men and women.
Changes occur only after 60, and then only insignificantly – the metabolic rate decreases by about 1 percent per year.
The most likely reason is a change in lifestyle. At this age, most people change from a more active regime to a more passive one.
In addition, eating habits also undergo changes, and, as a rule, they change not for the better.
The right habits will help force the body to speed up the metabolic process.
1. Turn to strength training: These exercises increase energy expenditure, thereby having a beneficial effect on the metabolic rate.
2. Start your morning with a glass of warm water – this is a gentle way to wake up your body and gastrointestinal tract. After 15-20 minutes, you can start breakfast.
3. Do exercises in the morning – and even if this habit does not have a strong effect on your metabolism, it will, again, help you wake up and get into the right frame of mind.
