If you want to be healthy and not have to deal with extra pounds, then it is important to take a responsible approach to your diet.

Special attention should be paid to dinners. You shouldn't eat too late.

The optimal time for the last meal of the day is 3 hours before bedtime.

However, not all dishes can be eaten. Some of them can negatively affect your well-being.

Nutritionist Oksana Panova spoke about this in more detail, reports Doctor Peter .

As the specialist noted, in the evening you can choose protein foods. For example, it can be fish, seafood, turkey or eggs.

If you want to add a side dish, then preference should be given to vegetables and herbs.

It is better to avoid saturated carbohydrates.

Potatoes, pasta or white rice in the evening will only increase the risk of developing diabetes. Salty foods and smoked foods will provoke swelling and increase the feeling of thirst.

Sweets, chocolate and pastries should not be eaten for dinner under any circumstances.

“These products are a real ‘bomb’, both in terms of calories and carbohydrates,” said Dr. Panova.

The specialist noted that you should not eat duck, lamb, pork, mayonnaise and other store-bought sauces in the evening, which will lead to heaviness in the stomach and extra pounds, and such products will also negatively affect the process of falling asleep.

The doctor recommended excluding fruits from the evening diet. It should be taken into account that fructose only stimulates appetite.

An exception may be made for a small apple or a few pieces of pineapple.
