Dr. Elena Solomatina spoke about which porridge is considered the most harmful during an interview for the publication “ Moscow 24 ”.
She noted that semolina should be avoided.
Many people are used to cooking this dish in the morning. Some people add butter, sugar, berries or nuts to the porridge.
But such a product is high in calories and does not contain any useful nutritional elements. For example, fiber, which is usually found in whole grain cereals.
Semolina ultimately only increases blood glucose levels, provokes excess weight gain, and can also lead to the development of diabetes.
Solomatina recalled that semolina was valued in difficult times, when people needed to get more calories to get energy for physical work.
Modern people usually do not spend so much energy. Therefore, the main task when choosing porridge is to get benefits.
