Shchi can be cooked in either pork or chicken broth. The main thing is not what kind of meat is chosen, but in what order the ingredients are cooked.

For some people, it doesn't really matter what goes into the pot first - potatoes or cabbage. This is where the main mistake lies.

Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova, a cook and fourth-class baker, told how to do the right thing.

It is impossible to answer this question right away. It is important to understand whether it will be fresh cabbage or sauerkraut.

In this case, the cabbage requires preliminary preparation. Many cooks stew the sauerkraut separately from all the vegetables so that it does not crunch later.
