Beetroot is a healthy root vegetable that is widely used in cooking due to its pleasant sweetness and unique taste.

Beets are included as an important ingredient in many recipes, and the beneficial properties of the vegetable can provide many health benefits.

However, we have to face the fact that the boiled root vegetable turns out tasteless. And this happens because of obvious mistakes that housewives make when cooking.

How to cook beets correctly

Follow simple rules and preparing the product will seem less tedious.

Take into account the cooking time of the beets: 30-40 minutes will be needed for medium-sized beets and more than 60 minutes if the root vegetable has grown large.

Pre-wash the beets to remove any dirt or sand. Do not cut off the stems or peel the product, otherwise most of the beet juice will end up in the water.

Please note this detail: beets are cooked without salt!

Failure to follow this rule will deprive the beets of their sugary flavor, make them hard and significantly increase the cooking time.

After cooking, do not keep the beets in hot water, immediately pour cold water over them to make the cleaning process easier.

Prepare beets with pleasure and correctly so that the product retains all its beneficial properties.
