There is a category of people who are firmly convinced that it is necessary not only to give up meat in favor of fruits and vegetables, but also to eat them raw.
Raw vegetables contain more vitamins and are therefore more useful. But this is not always the case.
In an interview with Moscow 24, nutritionist and Doctor of Medical Sciences Mariyat Mukhina spoke about which vegetables should not be eaten raw.
This rule applies to eggplant, asparagus and spinach.
The vegetable contains solanine, which can cause stomach pain, as well as nausea and other unpleasant sensations.
The plant's dietary fiber is quite coarse, making it difficult for the body to absorb the beneficial substances it contains.
You can't eat raw asparagus. This is a plant that is used only in cooked form. Because raw asparagus is very poorly digested, has coarse dietary fiber, and the nutrients in it will not be absorbed, the expert says.
Although the vitamin C content of spinach may decrease after cooking, the chances of absorbing calcium, magnesium and iron increase significantly.
The fact is that the body simply cannot absorb these vitamins in raw spinach.
In addition, if you have digestive system diseases or diabetes, the nutritionist does not recommend eating persimmon.
