Don't skip your afternoon nap during the summer months.

Australian experts have found out through research that siesta helps a person adapt to the heat more easily.

The fact is that at this time strength is restored, but the negative impact of heat on the body is significantly reduced.

However, it should be taken into account that heat usually has a negative effect on health.

At extreme temperatures there is even a risk of death. After all, in the heat the heart is forced to work harder.

The scientists noted in their work that other means of combating heat are less effective, for example, air conditioners.

It is believed that this can only make a person more vulnerable when he has to go outside again on a hot summer day.

A corresponding publication with the doctors’ conclusions was published in The Lancet: Planetary Health.
