Everyone knows from childhood that in order to maintain health, you need to take vitamin C.
But there are also a lot of myths about this element.
Therapist Alexey Vodovozov dispelled myths about vitamin C in an interview for Sputnik radio.
As the doctor emphasized, researchers have already proven that vitamin C does not help in the treatment of viral diseases, for example, acute respiratory viral infections.
This element is also not suitable for the prevention of such diseases.
The doctor also noted that one should not overdo it with vitamin C. If you overdo it with the vitamin, there is a risk of developing stones in the urinary tract.
The daily requirement for the vitamin is 50 milligrams.
Another popular myth is that lemons contain the most vitamin C.
In fact, if you want to replenish the balance of this element through food, you should choose rose hips, red pepper, black currant or cabbage.
