Every person needs physical activity for health.

The load should be moderate, and it should be based on the individual characteristics of the body, said cardiologist Denis Sinkevich in a conversation with representatives of the portal " Moscow 24 ".

But what does "moderate exercise" mean? It could be walking at a moderate or fast pace, slow cycling (about 15 km per hour), as well as aqua aerobics, ballroom dancing, and even golf or doubles tennis.

A good effect can be achieved from regular household chores, for example, cleaning the house or working in the countryside.

Strength training will also be helpful to keep muscle mass in good shape, control blood pressure and reduce bone loss.

The doctor also noted that it is very important to monitor your pulse. The maximum rate should be calculated using the formula: 220 minus age. For example, if a person is 45 years old and healthy, then his pulse should be a maximum of 175 beats per minute.

If the activity is moderate, the pulse should not be higher than 64–76% of the maximum.

If a person has problems with the heart and blood vessels, then the pulse should be within 50-75 percent of the maximum.

The doctor added in an interview that even one workout a week or active leisure time can reduce the risk of death in patients with coronary heart disease.
