Lovers of natural Christmas trees and pines enjoy a special holiday atmosphere for the New Year – the indescribable aroma of pine needles.

But sooner or later they all face one annoying problem – falling needles.

Considering that according to the good old tradition the tree should stand until at least January 13, it is important that it does not become completely bald during the holidays.

Let's try to figure out whether it is possible to prevent premature shedding of needles.

Fir trees and needles

1. If you brought home a tree that was the last one at the Christmas tree market, then there is nothing you can do about it.

The longer the tree has been lying on the marketplace after it was cut down, the less likely it is that it will stand lush and elegant in your home.

2. The less you disturb the tree, the greater the chance that it will retain most of its needles.

Therefore, you need to think about where to put it so that it does not bother anyone.

3. The tree should not be placed near heating devices.

4. You also need to control the air temperature in the room. The higher it is, the faster the needles will start to fall.

And one more thing: even if you bought a tree in a tub, be kind enough to water the tree, especially if you plan to plant it later.
