Many people are used to putting food in the freezer, believing that this way it will stay fresh for as long as possible.
But don’t forget that in this case it is also important to remember the product’s expiration date.
Chicken or turkey can stay in the freezer for up to three months, but pork will only last for two months in normal condition.
Frozen cod or tuna can stay in the freezer for almost six months, but mackerel and salmon cannot last that long; they should be cooked after three months at the most.
Minced meat, beets, chickpeas and lentils can be kept in the freezer for up to three months.
Greens can also be stored for three months when shock frozen.
If the temperature is 18 degrees or lower, then such a product will last from six months to a year.
Berries should not be kept frozen for more than nine months.
Vegetables and fruits are stored longer and better – up to a year.
