Thrifty gardeners have found a new use for an old cracked watering hose.
There are at least four options when a deformed product can still be useful in the household.
Caring for seedlings
A dacha is not only beds, but also young trees that in a few years will yield a harvest of apples, pears or plums. However, in the early stages, a young plant needs support.
Old hose attachments will work just as well as special tubes. Cut a slit on the side, wrap the hose around the trunk and pole. Thanks to the flexibility of the hose, nothing will interfere with the tree's growth.
Sharp objects
There are many things at the dacha that have sharp edges. Gardeners, in order not to accidentally hurt themselves and protect children from danger, use various tricks to hide sharp areas.
One option is an old garden hose that can be cut up and adapted for one purpose or another.
Gate sealing
A less popular but working method. It is only important that the hose is not too tight and rigid.
Irrigation system
The garden hose is not always a bad idea. If you are talking about a few holes, you can make a few more small holes.
The hose is placed at the base of the plants, and then the water is turned on. This way, the soil in the beds will be moistened even in the hottest weather and without much involvement from the gardener.
