There are many situations in which a greasy stain may appear on clothing.
However, there are a number of simple methods that will help you get rid of the contamination.
These methods work even with old stains, when you can’t wash the item right away.
Glycerol
One option that will help get rid of a greasy stain is the use of glycerin.
The product is applied to the problem area and left for 30 minutes. After half an hour, the area is wiped with a clean damp cloth or cotton pad.
Ammonia and turpentine
To get rid of the stain, prepare a mixture of these two products. The resulting solution is applied to the stain using a rag or cotton pad. The product is left for 3 hours, and then the problem area is washed.
Refined gasoline or turpentine
Treat an old stain with one of the two products, then cover the area with a clean cloth - top and bottom. The method is effective, but because of the smell, you will have to wash the entire item.
Before using any of the methods, it is better to make sure that the garment is not too delicate.
