Housewives have several bad habits that ruin household appliances. Common ones include neglecting to read the operating instructions for the appliance.
And if we talk specifically about the washing machine, many people abuse one function - the quick wash mode. Such savings will not lead to anything good.
We'll tell you why you shouldn't use the quick wash cycle all the time.
The problem is not that this program does not wash everything and not always, and the powder is also poorly rinsed. The worst thing is that this does not benefit the washing machine.
Why not?
The quick wash mode is not intended for regular use and not even for washing, but rather for refreshing clean items that have been worn 1-2 times.
In other words, this is an incomplete wash cycle, which may leave stains on clothes or streaks from washing powder.
In addition, washing takes place at 30-40 degrees, which does not allow us to count on fighting bacteria, which begin to die only at temperatures of 60 degrees and above.
Because of this, pathogenic environment can settle in the compartments of the washing machine. Due to fungus and bacteria, an unpleasant smell will appear.
To prevent this from happening, it is recommended to run the wash cycle at 60-90 degrees at least once every 2 weeks or clean the equipment regularly.
