It turns out that even the most ordinary socks cannot be washed in a washing machine anyhow. It is best to load them into a special bag - this is the only way after washing to get exactly as many hosiery items as you loaded.

What other rules should you follow when washing?

1. Rub the stains

Do not rub stains to remove them from the fabric. This procedure leads to rapid wear and tear and spoils things. It is better to wash the stain while it is fresh, and it should be treated from the edges to the center.

2. Wash or dry clean

Carefully study the information on the label. Sometimes not only machine but also hand washing may be excluded. Usually, leather, suede, and partially silk items, as well as jackets and coats, are dry cleaned.

3. Washing powder

There shouldn't be much of it, otherwise it won't be possible to rinse out the residues completely, which will not have the best effect on the operation of the household appliances themselves. However, if the water is hard, more detergents may be required.

4. Locks and zippers

Zippers need to be closed all the way, otherwise you can ruin your clothes. Don't risk washing zippers and delicate fabrics together.

5. Buttons

But buttons are just the opposite, you need to unbutton them. Otherwise, they can come off or stretch the loops.

6. Loading order

There is an opinion that if you load socks into the drum first, they will not get lost in other clothes. In fact, for small items you need to buy a laundry bag, and then nothing will get lost.

7. Installation of equipment

It may seem that if the machine vibrates during spinning, then nothing can be changed. The stronger the vibration, the shorter the service life of the equipment. You need to set the machine level, using height-adjustable feet or special rubber pads.

8. Break between washes

It is believed that you should not wait too long, since the heating elements may cool down during this time, which will lead to energy consumption. But experts recommend letting the equipment stand for a while between washes. Therefore, there is no consensus.

9. Settings and instructions

The instructions were created specifically for experienced people who rely on the opinion of professionals, and not on their own skills. This concerns recommendations regarding loading, cleaning, choosing programs, etc.

10. Dryer

This equipment needs to be cleaned periodically from threads and lint. Carelessness can cause a fire. If the same amount of things start to dry longer on the same setting, there is a reason to be wary.
