How to Clean Greasy Silicone Baking Molds: A Simple Trick

Over time, silicone baking molds become covered with a layer of old fat and literally slip out of your hands.

Similar stains appear on the oil brush, and water and dishwashing detergent do not cope with such stains.

Thrifty housewives will never throw away greasy utensils, but will try to "reanimate" them. It is still possible to return the former appearance to the products if you resort to a little trick.

To begin, the molds are placed in the oven for 10 minutes, which is heated to 180 °C. Then the products are washed and a paste consisting of water and soda is applied to the contaminated areas.

The forms are left to dry, and then all that remains is to rinse them in plain water. There will be no trace of dirt left.

Sometimes a white film forms on silicone molds. It occurs due to the effects of hard water. The film can be removed with vinegar or citric acid.

The forms need to be soaked in 10% vinegar or citric acid solution for about 30 minutes. Then it remains to thoroughly rinse the products and dry them.
