Many housewives think about how to speed up the preparation of cabbage for stuffed cabbage rolls when they don’t want to spend hours boiling it in a saucepan.
There are two ways to simplify the task. They differ in time and effort.
Double boiler
If you have a steamer lying around at home or actively use it for preparing other dishes, then it will come in handy in this case too.
The device needs to be heated and the cabbage head needs to be placed inside. Every 2-3 minutes, the softened leaves need to be taken out. This way, the leaves will be ready much faster than when boiled in a saucepan.
Freezing
The second option takes more time, but the amount of effort expended is reduced to zero. Remove the stalk, place the head in a bag and put it in the freezer overnight.
In the morning, all that remains is to defrost the vegetable. The leaves will come off the head themselves. But it should be noted that some housewives may not like this method. The thing is that such cabbage turns out to be a little fibrous.
