Wool products are in demand in winter. At this time, they wear out rather quickly and even become unusable, especially if they are not cared for properly.

We will tell you what you can do with warm clothes after unsuccessful washing or drying. Before throwing them away, it is worth trying.

What to do if woolen items have become smaller

1. After the so-called shrinkage as a result of unsuccessful washing, it is still possible to restore a sweater or other wardrobe item.

To do this, soak the product in a vinegar solution for 2 hours. To prepare it, you need 2 tablespoons of vinegar per 5 liters of water. Then carefully squeeze the material, lay it out on a towel, and then roll it all up, leaving it like that for 2-3 hours.

After this, the roll is unrolled and the clothes are dried under normal conditions. The previous shape and size will be restored.

2. Another option that can help out as a result of shrinkage.

Dissolve 3 tablespoons of ammonia, 2 tablespoons of turpentine, and 1 tablespoon of cologne in 5 liters of water. Mix the ingredients and place the damaged item in the prepared solution for 2 hours.

Then all that remains is to rinse in cool water, squeeze out gently and dry horizontally at room temperature and not on heating devices.

Important! These tips will help restore a product that has shrunk by 1-2 sizes. In other cases, these tricks are powerless.
