Often, food that ends up in the freezer is forgotten for months, and as a result, everything spoils and gets thrown away.

We suggest you figure out how to properly clean your freezer.

So, if you live in an apartment or house where there were no permanent and long power outages, then it is enough to clean the freezer once a year.

Don't forget to look at the operating instructions.

To prevent food from melting and leaking, place it in different containers: a bucket, sink, or plastic bowl, lining the bottom with paper. For example, ice cream and other food that melts quickly are best placed in a cooler bag.

Take a microfiber cloth and wipe the shelves and the inside of the freezer. If there is a lot of dirt, make a solution: 1 tbsp. soda per 0.5 l of hot water and a little detergent.

To avoid damaging the freezer surfaces, do not use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning concentrates, chlorine-containing agents, etc. It is necessary to vacuum the back wall of the refrigerator with a narrow nozzle once every six months. The heat exchanger is constantly covered with dust, which prevents it from giving off thermal energy, which can lead to the refrigerator breaking down.

The rubber gasket on the door should be washed every six months with a soapy cloth or an old toothbrush.

To ensure that the refrigerator closes hermetically, you need to check the tightness of the gasket. To do this, place a thin sheet of paper between the door and the rubber gasket and close the door. If the paper comes out easily, then you need to replace the gasket with a new one.

Putting food in the freezer

When you start putting food into the freezer, do not place it close to the walls or stack it on top of each other.

Be sure to leave space for air circulation, this will ensure even freezing of the food.
