Belarusians were told that the gifts of domestic fields and gardens make it possible to provide the country with agricultural products in full.
They also informed us about the situation with the formation of the republic’s stabilization funds, which, by the way, is already coming to an end.
As reported on the STV channel, for the above-mentioned purpose, more than 45 types of products are being purchased from the population and agricultural enterprises.
In particular, apples, pears, plums, cherries, grapes, etc. are purchased.
Part of the production is sent to stabilization funds to ensure supplies during the off-season period.
More than 40 storage facilities throughout Belarus are involved in this task.
As for the plan for the allocation to stabilization funds for the current year, the volume indicated is more than 120,000 tons of fruit and vegetable products.
According to Oksana Skinder, Head of the Department of Procurement and Foreign Economic Activity of Belkoopsoyuz, the primary focus is on ensuring stability.
To achieve this, the emphasis is on developing the production sector with an expansion of the product line.
In the future, we will create a material and technical base for storing these products during the off-season.
And capable of processing it and offering it in a wider range on retail shelves in our country,” the specialist added.
According to her data, the domestic canning industry currently processes approximately 80,000 tons of raw materials annually.
This year, enterprises have increased their berry procurement. Thus, they have stocked up 4 times more lingonberries than last year.
