The name Harry Turner from Great Britain may not have been known to the whole world, but chance intervened.
A rare skin disease allowed him to start showing one not very pleasant trick at the age of 10 – he could stretch his own skin on his stomach.
Harry was included in the Guinness Book of Records as the person with the most elastic skin in the world.
While speaking to members of the organizing committee, the man was able to pull the skin on his stomach by 15.8 centimeters.
The Briton owes his gift to a rare disease called Ehlers-Danlos.
The disease affects the connective tissue of the skin, ligaments and internal organs.
Ehlers-Danlos disease occurs in one in 10 thousand people.
Turner's condition affects his skin. In his case, the skin cells are not as tightly connected.
As scientists say, when the disease occurs, under a microscope the structure of the cells of such people resembles a poorly woven basket.
The first signs were discovered in Harry when he was 3-4 years old.
Already at the age of 10, the boy’s uncle showed his nephew’s amazing abilities as something outlandish.
